The Navy Coat

Don't be fooled by that red awning and those gorgeous bistro chairs, these pictures were shot a few weeks ago on a whirlwind trip to Melbourne. But, Autumn leaves aside, it could kind of be Paris!  I had heard of Entrecote through a friend, and when Rohan and I were in search of a leisurely lunch before flying out, it was just the place.  A croque monsieur and cappuccino later (I was pretty excited for our upcoming French travels at this point), we quickly snapped a few shots of the look that's getting me through crisp winter days. My cold weather approach is usually always the same, start with the basics and add interest with accessories, and always invest in a good coat. There are a few I have on rotation now that I'm back to reality (although it's been fantastically sunny in Sydney since my return so I'm not complaining!), and this Bec & Bridge number is one of them. The cut and fabrication are perfection, and I love that it's navy instead of black which just provides a little lift on drab days. Plus is still works back with everything! Now to find myself a crepe...
