You might have noticed my love for all things blush lately! This velvet Isabelle Quinn dress really sealed the deal, however I'm also loving a new take on pink when it comes to beauty. On a recent shoot, makeup artist Katie Angus and I decided to experiment with a soft blush eye, a really easy (and beautiful way) to update your look this season. Here Katie shares how you can achieve this achieve this look at home, hope you enjoy!
"Makeup has no rules and most things in your Makeup bag can be used in a number of ways!
A recent trend is the spectrum of warm copper, orange, blush and pinky tones we see used in a wash around the eye which I have found best to achieve with blushers rather than an eyeshadow itself.
Prep your skin and foundation as always - In this case I have used Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream followed by Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Oils were removed from the eyelid area with a light dusting of MAC Prep and Prime, and Skintone made even with the chosen foundation shade. Then using a fluffy Zoeva blending brush, I applied a wash of colour on the lid, socket line and below the eye making sure to blend the edges and leave no harsh lines of shadow. This look is all about a soft finish so go easy on your application and build the product accordingly."
