My Kind Of Basics

I find travelling is always a great opportunity to re-asses my wardrobe. It's always interesting to see what ends up making the suitcase edit, and further still, what I end up actually wearing. With a few long haul trips under my belt these past few years, I would like to think I have almost mastered the art of packing. But in this last week, jumping from beautiful sunny days in coastal Italy, to Milan Fashion Week, I realised that it's the basics that are always key.
Good basics have always been at the foundation of my wardrobe, and in this last week I have realised the value in investing in multiple colours or fabrications of the same cut and style. Take for instance these easy everyday pieces by Grana which I have been living in this past week. High waisted, slim leg jeans in white and blue denim, simple silk camisoles in white and black, and a go-everywhere linen shirt which folds up like a dream.

Now, to pack for Paris!
