NZFW Diary

This year marked my third New Zealand fashion week, and what a week it was!

Apart from getting to spend a fun few days with two of my girlfriends who also flew over from Sydney, it was a great opportunity to be introduced to some new labels, and of course sample a few of Auckland's culinary offerings. Day 1 definitely brought the sunshine, and two new standouts (also their first solo shows!) Eugenie and Wynn Hamlyn. Day 2 featured sleek, wearable separates by Penny Sage and Lucilla Gray, and a coffee with matcha waffles at Dear Jervois was just the thing to brighten up a rainy day. Day 3 started with a beautiful combination of coffee, treats and silky layers at the Knuefermann show, followed by the graduate collections. And lastly, Day 4 was packed with appointments and lunch at one of my favourites, Ortolana.

My daily routine usually involved starting the morning at Depot (I stayed at the lovely Sky City Grand), for a coffee and their granola while catching up on emails. After that it was back to back days filled with shows, appointments, coffee meetings and casual dinners. Showers aside, it was such a fun week and I can't wait to visit New Zealand again soon!
