With the next two months offering up my favourite transeasonal weather, I'll be embracing the midi skirt. It's a flattering, versatile style that will see you through the more temperate months and become a go-to item in your wardrobe.
I've always liked to experiment with the rules a little when it come to fashion, so I thought I would share my three tips for styling slightly different mid-length styles...
Don't Be Afraid Of Volume
It's all about balance. Work an oversized shirt back with a statement heel, drawing attention to your ankles. Or you could take things one step further and layer a pair of trousers underneath, I love the extra-layered look.
Do Wear Flats
Don't be fooled into thinking longer lengths only look good with heels, embrace the volume and pair a slightly dressier style, like this suede Raey skirt, back with a pair of sneakers. Your feet will thank you for it!
Do Tuck It In
A 70s' style like this with quite a high rise is a great opportunity to tuck your shirt in and show off your waist. Not only is it flattering but it also allows you to play with details, like this ring pull zipper, or a great belt.
