Having caught the tail end of LA's summer, I'm well and truly ready to change my wardrobe over ready for the new season. I'm lucky to have this beautiful bay just a few streets away from me, even though it's a no-swim zone (Bondi, I miss you!), it's still a lovely place to hang out when it's warm and sunny.
Speaking of travel, I had to fit all my LA beachy essentials and my NYFW week looks in to one suitcase so it was a great lesson in editing! Here is what made the cut...
The Straw Hat
I have been on the lookout for the perfect straw hat in a short and wide brim. I love these styles from 66 The Label's new collection which come in natural, darker tan and black. Between the two styles I had my looks sorted!
Choosing just two to take with me was tough, in the end I went with two classic black bikini styles by Lisa Marie Fernandez and Matte Swim. I always look for a great top that can double as a layering piece - perfect for wearing under slightly sheer shirts or low cut sweaters.
I took two pairs of distressed denim shorts and one pair of white boyfriend jeans.
The White Shirt
You can never go wrong with a few white t-shirts and an oversized button-down. This season I'm also loving off-the-shoulder styles so I was very lucky to get my hands on this Tibi number.
The Casual Sweater
This lightweight knit was perfect to wear on the plane, and great for layering on a balmy night, it's also an easy cover up to throw on over your bikini top.
I live in sandals in summer, so I opted for a flat, strappy leather style that was comfortable to wear all day and a stacked heel for slightly dressier occasions.
