Wardobe Foundations: Denim & Knits Part I

Bon Weekend

In my element with a big fluffy knit, blue jeans and fresh blooms.

The perfect outfit combination for the weekend.

While I was clearing out my closet a few weeks ago, I noticed that my winter wardrobe consists predominantly of cosy, oversised knits and jeans. It's a duo I frequently rely on for my my morning market run, a casual weekend breakfast, catch ups with friends and running errands.

With foundation pieces being a big topic on the blog recently (more on my first season of the 5 piece challenge coming soon), I thought I would share two of my favourite weekend looks with the classic denim & knit combo.

I discovered these A.P.C. jeans a year ago and have been wearing them religiously ever since. They have a very French-film feel to them - the perfect cropped, tapered leg in that classic Parisian blue with a slightly lower rise. Paired with this fluffy, backless knit by Anna Quan, (my Paris, Texas / Nastassja Kinski jumper), this is exactly the type of outfit I want to be wearing to a fancy Sunday brunch.
