Let's Talk Transeasonal Dressing

While the heat is turning up in Sydney, things are cooling down in time for Christmas in the Northern Hemisphere. When I first started this blog, I never imagined reaching so many international readers - it's amazing to get to connect with people all over the world and hopefully bring you the occasional bit of outfit inspiration. With that in mind, I want to try and create a balance in my content to ensure it's relevant for everyone both locally and overseas.

This brings me to the topic of transeasonal dressing, because no matter where in the world you are, there are aways those great, versatile pieces that can be styled for both seasons. Given a lifetime spent in Australia, I have gotten used to adapting international trends to suit my own climate and style.

At the moment, I'm loving all white in the lead up to Christmas, it gives me that holiday feeling, even if it doesn't end up snowing here! This white silk shirt and palazzo pants by TY-LR have become easy wardrobe staples that be dressed up or down. If you're in a cool climate, experiment with layering - pair the shirt back with a pair of jeans and ankle boots, then add a great coat. Or pair the trousers with a turtleneck, blazer and heels for a Celine-inspired office to evening look.
